Amy is often described as the most connected person in the advertising industry! She is passionate about the industry and its incredible people and creative work.

In 2017, Amy joined Advertising Council Australia (ACA), the peak industry body representing the Australian advertising industry and its member agencies. Here, Amy instigated and hosted many industry networking events, mentored and coached many individual careers, promoted the commercial impact of industry and provided guidance and industry leadership.

During her time at ACA, Amy ran AWARD School in Victoria for 7 years, championing creativity and fostering the next generation of creatives. She has a strong interest in diversity and inclusion in our industry promoting Create Space industry initiatives and launched the regional online AWARD School program in 2019 to attract creative talent outside of metro cities.

Amy has worked in account service at Melbourne agencies George Patts (now VML), Ogilvy, Big Red and HBT (now HBK) and Ogilvy in Auckland. Amy has worked across clients including Cadbury, Dulux, BMW, Carlton Draught, Cricket Australia, VB, Corona, Coles and Woolworths.

You will find Amy at every industry event, party and conference. And if she is not networking, she is looking after her three beautiful daughters, having a wine with her husband at Gilson or running social events for her children’s school.

Sam McConnell

Sam McConnell has more than 20 years experience in senior agency and client-side roles in Australia and the United States, working with a diverse range of clients and brands.

Starting his career as a writer and editor in publishing, his first agency role was at JWT Melbourne (now VML), before he transferred to the agency's head office in New York, where he led Johnson & Johnson's Listerine and Reach brands globally. After several years collaborating with 50+ JWT agencies around the world on the development of Listerine's brand positioning and global campaign creative, he returned to Australia where he held senior leadership roles at Clemenger BBDO and The Monkeys (now Droga 5).

In 2021, Sam moved into the digital agency space and most recently, led In Marketing We Trust's marketing, client service and sales functions as Commercial Director, overseeing clients including Village Roadshow Theme Parks, Izuzu UTE, MA Financial and Stage & Screen (Flight Centre Group).
